I DOCUMENTED THE LIVES AND SPIRITUAL PRACTICES OF BLACK HOODOO WOMEN PRACTITIONERS WHO ARE DEEPLY ROOTED IN BOTH TRADITION AND COMMUNITY. Beyond their sacred rituals, they are mothers raising their children, teachers sharing ancestral knowledge, healers providing spiritual and practical resources, farmers cultivating the land, and doulas guiding new life into the world. My work highlights the fullness of their lives—where spirituality, care work, and community leadership are woven seamlessly together.
