I am IvoRi Schley (she/her), a fiber artist, geographer, farmer, and environmental educator from Clayton County, Georgia. Inspired by Dr. Dolittle and Pocahontas, I knew from an early age that I was destined for environmental work. Throughout my journey, I explored careers ranging from park ranger and agricultural extension agent to Appalachian Trail steward and food security researcher. Ultimately, I found my calling in horticulture and geography.
As a quirky and earthy Black Agrarian, I co-founded Afro Agriculture LLC with the intention of providing arts and recreation opportunities to historically marginalized communities and communities experiencing food apartheid. I believe everything is alive, and therefore, everything naturally deserves respect.
