My thoughts consume so much of my mental real estate, I used to think they’d spill out and someone would overhear them. I think a lot of people operate that way, in their heads carrying on unlikely conversations made up of things we wouldn’t say out loud. Trouble is, the things we usually keep to ourselves are often the most interesting and certainly the most honest. What do I want to say with my art? Everything. Anything. And sometimes nothing at all. I don’t aim to be original as much as I do relatable ; if anything I hope people look at my work and think “You know I’ve thought something similar before, I just never thought to say it out loud.”
